Parents are urged to allow extra time for dropping off and picking up children, particularly in the first few weeks of term.
All Kindergarten and Pre-primary children must be dropped off and picked up directly from their classroom by an authorised adult. Please refer to the Early Childhood Handbook for further details.
Please be aware that parking in and around the campus is restricted. In order to keep traffic flowing and students safe, parent are requested to follow the guidelines about how to use the drop off and pick up points around campus.
kiss and drive
The Kiss and Drive is open from 8.15 am until 3.15 pm. Entry to the one way Kiss and Drive lane is via Bay View Terrace. The lane exists through the car-park and back onto Bay View Terrace. Please remember that there is no parking in the Kiss and Drive laneway.. Cars must only stop to drop off and pick up children and drivers must remain with their vehicle at all times.
Under superversion, children will wait on the school side of the lane close to the playground for collection by their parents after school. Children not collected by 3.15 pm will be taken to the office.
campus car parks
There are three campus car-parks available for use by school families. Please park only in the allocated parking bays. Parking is not permitted in designated service or disabled bays without an ACROD permit.
bAY VIEW TERRACE
There is a car-park located on campus next to the Kiss and Drive. This is the most convenient parking space if you are visiting the school office. A number of marked bays are also available along Bay View Terrace itself. During the hours of 7.30 am to 9.00 am and 2.30 pm to 4.00 pm, these bays are restricted to pick up and set down usage only. Drivers must remain with their vehicle at all times. The Claremont Council regularly patrols this area and will issue fines for vehicles left unmanned.
There are two car parks located at the rear of the school, both with entry from Princess Road. Parents with children in the junior years are encouraged to use the bays in these areas. Parking is also available on the curb along Princess Road adjacent to the school. Please observe the road markings and footpath along Princess Road. Claremont Council will issue fines if cars are parked over the footpath, hindering access.
