The Centre – or Library – is an important asset to students and staff, containing vital resources such as junior and young adult fiction and non-fiction collection, journals, magazines, comics, audiotapes, CDs, videotapes and DVDs. The centre is also home to our French specialist teachers.
Herbert Hall plays host to our fortnightly whole school assemblies. A full covered outdoor area, Herbert Hall is the main seating option during lunch time, and is used during and after school for a variety of co-curricular activities.
Specialist rooms for both Music and Art are located in the Rooney Centre. Built in 2011, the facility is purpose built to accommodate two of our specialty subject areas. Both the music and art room are extensively resourced to enhance students’ learning in the arts.
By special arrangement with the Town of Claremont, students at Freshwater Bay Primary school use the Claremont Oval during recess and lunch time. The large playing fields allow for supervised play in cricket, football and team games.
Located adjacent to Claremont Oval, the Prior Pavilion houses one of our Pre-Primary classes, along with kitchen and bathroom facilities. A purpose built cubby-house and bike track surrounds the Pavilion and enhances students’ outdoor play and learning.
Located next to the tennis courts and consisting of two heritage-listed buildings, the Oliver Centre accommodates both the Freshwater Bay Uniform Shop and Bright Beginnings.
Bright Beginnings, which occupies the first of the centre’s building, partners with the school to offer a supplementary kindergarten program to three and four year old children.
Two full sizes tennis courts are located on the school grounds. Courts are used by children during the school hours and are also available for hire outside of the school day.
