FRESHWATER BAY PRIMARY SCHOOL P&C ASSOC
The P&C Association promotes the interests of the school through:
- cooperation between parents, teachers, students and members of the general community
- assisting in the provision of resources, facilities and amenities for the school
- fostering community interest in educational matters.
Every year the P&C contributes a significant amount of funds to the school. Funds are used to purchase computers, media equipment, reading bookings, mathematics resources, ipads, playground equipment, interschool support and school visioning.
The P&C also co-ordinates Tuesday Treats and manages the Tennis Court Annual Membership.
Importantly, each class also has a parent representative on the P&C. Parent representatives maintain a “friendship contact list” for their class, organises class based social events, liaises with the class teacher and assists in supporting new parents.

P&C Services and contributions
In addition to contributions made directly to the school each year, the P&C asks parents to contribute towards a voluntary fund. This amount is set at the AGM every year and allows the P&C to support large projects such as the grounds development, library and information technology purchases.
This is a fortnightly event held by the P&C Community. Each week a different class group will host the after school event. Tuesday Treats provides an opportunity for parents and children to socialise in an informal atmosphere.
Tennis Court Annual Membership
Annual Membership to the Freshwater Bay Primary School Tennis Courts is for the period March to February. The annual membership fee is $100.00 which includes a $50.00 key deposit which will be refunded on return of the key.
The P&C always welcomes new members. General meetings are held once a term. Parents are invited to come along and join as an active volunteer ($1.00 membership fee) – or just attend the open meetings to hear what is happening in your school.
